Knifewear Edmonton is Open
So, we opened our little Edmonton pop-up shop on Nov 20 and
we will be there till December 31. How cool is that? We’ve had a warm welcome
from that cool (even cold sometimes) City. If all goes well we might open a
full time shop there. If you have any suggestions where it should be located
please send and email or tweet.
So the shop is staffed
by three rad folks. Jordan worked
for a year or so at the Calgary store. He’s a great resource for the difficult
questions and places rad guitar. Chad is a
cooking/butcher/hunter/gatherer/backyard oven making guru. You are in great
hands. Jeanette is a chef with dreams of starting a food truck in YEG. Awesome
team!
The shop has tons of knives, basically our ‘Best of’ album.
With knives in every budget and in every level of performance. Also have
sharpening gear, cutting boards, meaty cookbooks, great food and coffee mags,
and bits and bobs that everyone needs. Basically our whole shop. Make sure to
check out the ‘Shaving Stairs’ we have staright razors, safetys, blades,
brushes and potions/lotions for the modern wet shaving man.
Open 10-6 every day (even Sunday)

Knifewear Calgary Farmer’s Market is Open
We opened our new Calgary shop at the Calgary Farmer’s
Market. It’s the big one that over looks the Ikea. Ya, that one. It’s right beside Silk Road Spice Merchants
and not far from Chokolat. Just like a mini Inglewood.
Naoto is running the show there. He is a great sharpener and
his knowledge of Japanese knives always surprises me. He does endless research
and is beyond happy to share what he knows.
We offer our best selling knives, sharpening gear, knife
storage, cutting boards, cookbooks and a bit of shaving gear. Next time you’re
at the market pop in to say ‘Hi’, try a cool knife and maybe take advantage of
our ‘Sharpen While You Shop’ service.

Men's Grooming
If you’ve been to the shop recently you’ll know we’ve dived
in to the deep end with shaving gear.
We have straight razors from Dovo and Iwasaki san. Also we
have our own brand of hand hammered
single sided brand of straight razors coming. How cool is that?
Safety razors: Merkur, Feather and Edwin Jagger.
Double edged razors blades: Feather, Mekur, Lord and Derby
Brushes: Kent, Edwin Jagger, eShave, Vielong, Simpson,
Vulifix
Potions and lotions:
D.R. Harris, eShave, Taylors of Old Bond Street, Edwin Jagger, Geo F.
Trumper, Kent, Dovo, Castle and Forbes, RazoRock, La Toja, James Bronnley,
Czech and Speake, The Dreadnought and Blue Beard’s.
Here is proof of the awesome power of proper man grooming
gear. This Jeffery with his mighty beard.
Here is Jeffery after just one treatment from Blue Beard’s
beard conditioner. Need we say more?
*Just so yas knows; this is a faked picture. We used a fancy
thing called PhotoShop to steal Farah Fawcett’s hair and stick on to Jeff’s
face. The beard conditioner is great, but it didn’t do that. Pretty cool if it could do that though. My
legal council told me to include this factoid after he was fully tricked by the
picture. Kinda funny huh?

Christmas in Inglewood!
Inglewood, it's a funny old place. We like to celebrate Christmas in November. Pop by for great deals and a fun way to get in the spirit. Most shops will have special deals and events. We may even have Pierre Lamielle signing books or something fun-ish.
Thursday 15 November 5pm-9pm
Free gift** from Masakage knives
with every Masakage purchase (while supplies last)
**It's a hand forged letter opener. Totally cool and over the top.
Let's Beer!
It's almost here. Knifewear's Tongue Cutter IPA will be hitting the taps at all Brewsters and Beer Revolution locations around the middle of November, just in time for the opening of the new locations.
Yes, Edmonton will get some kegs this time around. Call your local Brewsters to find out when they will have it. This time a full batch (20 kegs) was made and will hopefully last longer than 10 days like last time.
Overly hopped, overy malted and kick-ass....if you like that sort of thing.
